Profile Proposal: Rei Saito

Rei Saito is a Japanese exchange student who I met through a friend of a friend. He came to Eugene to study landscape architecture with an emphasis in trees (hence choosing Oregon). Whenever he has free time he goes rock climbing.

I’d like to tie his outdoor hobbies into his passion for landscaping, and how that connects to Oregon and university. This will create a neat visual anecdote that can be used in the opening. I want to also explore his reasons for coming here after graduating from his university in Japan and what he wants to take back with him at the end of this year.

OK, Galen. Hope you get to see him climbing and in a landscape architecture class (preferably one that goes outside!).
