Top Tweeters for Latin American news

Twitter is an important resource for journalists to talk directly to other journalists around the country and globe. Below is a list of some of the most important tweeters in Latin American news. They share their own news stories, other articles from around the world, and sometimes their personal opinions.

Simon Romero is currently The New York Times bureau chief in Brazil, and he covers Latin America’s Southern Cone. He tweets his own articles as well as other news as it relates to Latin America.

Fernando Rodrigues is a reporter for Folha de S.Paulo, UOL,  and radio Joven Pan. He tweets news stories from Latin American news groups as well as other media groups from around the world.

Carlos Chirinos, based in Miami, has been reporting for BBC Mundo for nearly the last 10 years.  Prior to this, he worked for CorporacionTeleven, and El Nacional.

Ernesto Villegas P. is a popular Venezuelan journalist who reports for the Ministry of Popular Power for Communication and Information of the Bolivian Republic of Venezuela.
