The Jefferson Westside Neighborhood is one of the quieter areas around downtown. When you walk through it, you don’t see too many people, but you do see a good number of homes. Jefferson Westside is mostly residential with only a few commercial areas. The most notable places in the Jefferson neighborhood are almost all places where people gather and socialize. The Monroe Park and a few churches are the biggest attractions to visitors as buildings such as the Eugene Public Library and the LTD Station lie just outside Jefferson’s borders.

One of the most enjoyable aspects of Jefferson Westside is its flora. Trees are almost ever where in the neighborhood. Juxtaposed with the rather industrial landscape to the west and the much more urban downtown to the east, the Jefferson Westside Neighborhood seems like a small patch of nature surrounded by the even encroaching modern world. Just taking a stroll through the neighborhood you get the feel that it’s a calm area. Even the Monroe Park seems sedate when compared to other parks in Eugene.
