Downtown Neighborhood Introduction Post-Adam Bailey

Located in the heart of Eugene, the Downtown Neighborhood has a lot to offer to its visitors.  As many students know, the High Street border is home to the popular Dutch Bros. Coffee on the eastern border to the neighborhood.  On the northern border of Downtown, a view of the Willamette River entices its viewers with Skinner’s Butte Park allowing a peaceful stroll along this border.  On the western front, Lawrence Street marks the end of this active neighborhood with Eugene’s popular snow shop, Berg’s.  The southern border, 13th Avenue, is better known to University students as the street that runs through campus; however, for patrons of the Downtown Neighborhood it is known as the southern entrance.  My group and I arrived to the neighborhood by car, parking near Downtown Eugene Station and walking around to see the southern and western border.  We also explored the environment around the library as well as the bus station in the well known, rainy Eugene weather.

Lots of University students stop by the popular coffee shop to get their fill of caffeine for the day at the entrance to the Downtown Neighborhood.
